Calaveras Redhawks (San Andreas, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calaveras upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Redhawks host Wheatland (Wheatland, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Wheatland lost 47-38 in their recent non-league bout against East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA)

Next up, the Diamondbacks play the Bret Harte Bullfrogs (Angels Camp, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Union Mine will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bullfrogs go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 58-24 non-league win over Stone Ridge Christian (Merced, CA).
