Jackson Academy Raiders (Jackson, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hillcrest Christian Cougars (Jackson, MS), 48-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson Academy upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season.

Next up, the Cougars play the Clinton Christian Academy Warriors (Clinton, MS) in a bout, on Friday, December 16. Hillcrest Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 54-39 non-league win over Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS).
