The First Academy Royals (Orlando, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lake Wales Highlanders (Lake Wales, FL), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, The First Academy upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Royals travel to Cornerstone Charter Academy (Belle Isle, FL) to play the Ducks in a bout on Friday, December 16. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Cornerstone Charter Academy lost 49-41 in their recent non-league bout against East Ridge (Clermont, FL)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Winter Haven Blue Devils (Winter Haven, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Lake Wales will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 55-35 non-league win over Auburndale (Auburndale, FL).
