North Carolina High School Basketball - Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy overwhelmed by Anson

December 13, 2023: Wadesboro, NC 28170

The Anson Bearcats basketball team scored 89 points and restricted the visiting Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles to 32 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery Central for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Anson will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 74-64 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 2-5.

The Eagles (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Sugar Creek triumphed over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 48-37, in a non-league contest.
