The Denham Springs Yellowjackets basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Istrouma Indians to 57 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Livonia for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Denham Springs will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 58-42 non-league loss to Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-6.
The Indians (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Capitol triumphed over Walker (Walker, LA), 67-52, in a non-league contest.
