Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA), 55-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Garfield upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Warren (Downey, CA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Warren won 52-50 in their recent non-league bout against Servite (Anaheim, CA)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Roybal Titans (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Marquez will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 67-63 league win over Contreras (Los Angeles, CA).
