Hilo Vikings (Hilo, HI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pahoa Daggers (Pahoa, HI), 60-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hilo upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Kea'au (Kea'au, HI) to play the Cougars in a Big Island - East bout on Thursday, December 14. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Kea'au won 64-37 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph (Hilo, HI)

Next up, the Daggers play the Kohala Cowboys (Kapaau, HI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Pahoa will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
