Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR), 41-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Umatilla upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Vikings host Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR) to play the TigerScots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The TigerScots go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Weston-McEwen won 86-59 in their recent non-league bout against Central Linn (Halsey, OR)

Next up, the Knights play the Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Irrigon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 61-46 non-league win over Columbia (White Salmon, WA).
