The Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Jenkintown Drakes to 35 in the Golden Bears non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Golden Bears now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Agnes Irwin for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Merion Mercy Academy will meet a Owls team coming off a 47-33 non-league win over Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA). The Owls record now stands at 1-0.
The Drakes (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bristol (Bristol, PA). The Warriors enter the Bicentennial - Independence contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Bristol was nudged by Delaware County Christian (Newtown Square, PA), 54-20, in a non-league contest.
