Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Catherine of Siena Academy (Wixom, MI), 46-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Kettering (Waterford, MI) to clash with the Captains in a Lakes Valley bout on Friday, December 15. The Captains go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Kettering lost 44-35 in their recent non-league bout against Kearsley (Flint, MI)

Next up, the clash with the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) in a Catholic C-D D bout, on Friday, December 15. St. Catherine of Siena Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 50-24 non-league loss to Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI).
