The Northwestern Regional Highlanders basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Wolcott RVT Wildcats to 23 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Highlanders now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shepaug Valley for a Berkshire contest on Friday, December 15. Northwestern Regional will battle a Spartans team coming off a 48-44 non-league loss to Abbott RVT (Danbury, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cheney RVT (Manchester, CT). The Beavers come into the Connecticut Technical contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Cheney RVT was trounced by Wolcott RVT (Torrington, CT), 30-22, in a league test.
