The South Caldwell Spartans basketball team (Hudson, NC), was toppled 39-24 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now possess a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom for a battle on Friday, December 15. Hickory will confront a Patriots team coming off a 56-26 non-league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-0.

The Spartans (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, West Caldwell beat South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 43-39, in a non-league battle.
