In Friday's non-league contest, the host Vinton Lions basketball team scored a big 76-55 win over the Barbe Buccaneers.
The Lions (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, South Beauregard was trounced by Merryville (Merryville, LA), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. Barbe will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 60-46 non-league win over Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA).
