In Friday's league contest, the host Bellingham Bayhawks basketball team scored a close 56-51 win over the Mt. Baker Mountaineers.
The Bayhawks (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Lyncs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Lynden Christian edged Archbishop Murphy (Everett, WA), 78-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Mt. Baker will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Mariners come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 69-49 league win over Blaine (Blaine, WA).
