The Bethel Academy basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host New Hope Christian Phoenix to 15 in the non-league triumph on Friday.

The now have a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Overland Christian for a Mo-Kan Christian game on Monday, December 16. Bethel Academy will confront a Eagle team coming off a 55-24 league loss to Heartland (Belton, MO). The Eagle record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, New Hope Christian falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to St. Joseph Defenders (St. Joseph, MO) to confront the Defenders in a Midwest Christian game on Tuesday, December 17. The Defenders go into the game with a record of 1-0. St. Joseph Defenders won 47-41 in their recent league game against Shawnee Mission Christian (Shawnee Mission, KS)
