Texas High School Basketball - Bushland can't hold off Boyd

December 13, 2024: Bushland, TX 79012

Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Bushland Falcons (Bushland, TX), 55-54 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Boyd advances its record to 3-13 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 2-7. Sweetwater won 54-51 in their recent non-league match against Christoval (Christoval, TX)

The Falcons now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Panhandle for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Bushland will face a Panthers squad coming off a 68-54 non-league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.
