In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Gosnell Pirates basketball team scored a good 80-66 win over the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs.
The Pirates (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Paragould (Paragould, AR). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Paragould defeated Blytheville (Blytheville, AR), 61-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Buffalo Island Central will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 44-41 non-league loss to Marked Tree (Marked Tree, AR).
