The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Houston, TX). The Panthers come into the 4A Region III District 20 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Northside dropped by Cesar E. Chavez (Houston, TX), 62-55, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hurricanes encounter the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings (Sugar Land, TX) in a 6A Region III District 21 challenge, on Monday, December 16. Fort Bend Hightower will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 58-43 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX).
