In Friday's non-league contest, the host Jefferson Lions basketball team scored a big 59-30 triumph over the Rainier Columbians.
The Lions (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sheridan (Sheridan, OR). The Spartans go into the 3A PacWest test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Sheridan bounced Oakridge (Oakridge, OR), 59-30, in a non-league test.
The Columbians (0-4) will now prepare for their test against Clatskanie (Clatskanie, OR). The Tigers come into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Clatskanie was routed by Castle Rock (Castle Rock, WA), 52-36, in a non-league test.
