The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) and the visiting Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME), observed Lake Region's basketball team overcome Mountain Valley by a margin of 54-40.

The Lakers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME). The Clippers come into the B South challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Yarmouth defeated Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME), 71-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Mountain Valley will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
