The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME) and the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), observed Mt. Blue's basketball team overwhelm Maranacook by a score of 61-30.

The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Hampden (Hampden, ME). The Broncos go into the A North bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Hampden was ripped by Edward Little (Auburn, ME), 51-40, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Maranacook falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Black bears travel to Mount Abram (Strong, ME) to play the Roadrunners in a non-league bout on Monday, December 16. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Mount Abram won 60-49 in their recent league bout against Waterville (Waterville, ME)
