The Vinita Hornets basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Salina Wildcats to 37 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Miami for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. Vinita will confront a Wardogs team coming off a 108-29 non-league win over Dove Science Academy (Tulsa, OK). The Wardogs record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Salina falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Kansas (Kansas, OK) to confront the Comets in a Five Lakes game on Friday, December 20. The Comets go into the game with a record of 3-0.
