North Carolina High School Basketball - Shelby triumphant over Veritas Christian Academy

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC), observed Shelby's basketball team overwhelm Veritas Christian Academy by a score of 85-30.

The Golden Lions (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Crest trounced North Gaston (Dallas, NC), 69-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders (Spruce Pine, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 6. Veritas Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
