In Friday's league contest, the host St. Mary's Hawks basketball team scored a good 63-54 triumph over the South O'Brien Wolverines.
The Hawks (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA). The Westerners go into the War Eagle contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Akron-Westfield topped Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA), 48-46, in a league contest.
