The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA) and the visiting University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA), observed Las Plumas's basketball team overcome University Prep by a margin of 53-38.

The Thunderbirds (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Chico (Chico, CA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Chico defeated Woodcreek (Roseville, CA), 69-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 14. University Prep will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 59-52 non-league win over River Valley (Yuba City, CA).
