In Friday's non-league contest, the host East Gaston Warriors basketball team scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles.
The Warriors (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, South Point nipped Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 51-11, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Winston Salem Christian Lions (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 19. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
