The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) and the visiting North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD), observed Catoctin's basketball team overwhelm North Hagerstown by a score of 56-23.

The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD). The Leopards come into the Central Maryland challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Smithsburg trounced Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA), 41-30, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hubs encounter the South Hagerstown Rebels (Hagerstown, MD) in a Central Maryland challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. North Hagerstown will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 52-41 non-league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV).
