The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs (Horseshoe Bend, ID) and the host Notus Pirates (Notus, ID), observed Horseshoe Bend's basketball team knock off Notus by a score of 29-21.

The Mustangs (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cascade (Cascade, ID). The Ramblers come into the 1A Long Pin challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Cascade prevailed over Vision (Caldwell, ID), 29-26, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Compass Charter Aviators (Meridian, ID) in a 2A Western Idaho challenge, on Monday, December 16. Notus will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Aviators come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 49-44 non-league win over Council (Council, ID).
