The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) and the host Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), witnessed Chariho's ice hockey team defeat Rogers by a final score of 3-1.

The Chargers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, South Kingstown got by Lincoln (Lincoln, RI), 4-2, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Saturday, December 14. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 4-3 league loss to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI).
