The North Kingstown Skippers ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the host Portsmouth Patriots to 2 in the Skippers non-league victory on Friday.
The Skippers now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Greenwich for a Division 2 bout on Thursday, December 26.
With the defeat, Portsmouth moves to 0-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) to encounter the Chieftains in a Division 2 bout on Friday, December 20. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 1-1.
