North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County overwhelmed by Avery County

In Friday's non-league test, the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), by a score of 52-11.

Next, the Vikings encounter the Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 14. Avery County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 6-0 record after their 64-51 league win over Westover (Fayetteville, NC).

The Huskies (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record.
