The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the visiting Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), observed Spanish Springs's basketball team overwhelm Fernley by a margin of 68-35.

The Cougars (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Carson (Carson City, NV). The Senators come into the challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Carson trounced Dayton (Dayton, NV), 70-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vaqueros battle the Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) in a challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Fernley will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record.
