The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) and the host Jefferson Democrats (Los Angeles, CA), observed Maywood CES's basketball team overwhelm Jefferson by a score of 64-38.

The Wolfpack (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA). The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Elizabeth was routed by Diego Rivera (Los Angeles, CA), 50-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Democrats battle the Santee Falcons (Los Angeles, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 10. Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
