New Mexico High School Basketball - Animas overwhelmed by Hondo Valley

The Hondo Valley Eagles basketball team scored 76 points and limited the host Animas Panthers to 36 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Clovis Christian for a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. Hondo Valley will play a Eagles team coming off a 77-23 non-league loss to Dora (Dora, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Animas falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Dora (Dora, NM) to play the Coyotes in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 18. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Dora lost 70-37 in their recent non-league bout against Hagerman (Hagerman, NM)
