The Brownfield Cubs basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Midland Christian Mustangs to 40 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cubs now have a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Whitharral for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. Brownfield will confront a Panthers team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Southcrest Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Midland Christian falls to 14-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league test on Friday, December 19. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 14-2. San Angelo Central won 56-47 in their recent non-league test against United South (Laredo, TX)
