The Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) basketball edged the host Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV), 45-40 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Vandals now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Smith Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, December 13. Eureka will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 81-55 non-league win over Pershing County (Lovelock, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-0.
The Lakers (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV). The Serpents come into the 1A West test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Mineral County was nipped by Yerington (Yerington, NV), 75-64, in a non-league test.
