The Sands Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host Garden City Bearkats to 47 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Smyer for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. Sands will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 57-29 non-league loss to Anton (Anton, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Garden City falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bearkats host Seagraves (Seagraves, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-3. Seagraves lost 83-47 in their recent non-league outing against Frenship Memorial (Lubbock, TX)
