Texas High School Basketball - George West thwarts Kenedy

Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) and the host Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX), witnessed George West's basketball squad prevail over Kenedy by a count of 53-43.

With the victory, George West advances its record to 6-7 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Karnes City (Karnes City, TX) to meet the Badgers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 16. The Badgers come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Karnes City won 52-34 in their recent non-league contest against Johnson City (Johnson City, TX)

In their next game, the Lions battle the Ganado Indians (Ganado, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Kenedy will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 61-44 non-league loss to Sweeny (Sweeny, TX).
