The Itasca Wampus Cats basketball squad (Itasca, TX), was nudged 60-58 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Valor Preparatory Academy Knights (Waco, TX)

With the victory, Valor Preparatory Academy advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Knights host Iredell (Iredell, TX) to battle the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 16. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Iredell lost 50-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Avalon (Avalon, TX)

In their next game, the Wampus Cats battle the Poolville Monarchs (Poolville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 19. Itasca will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record.
