The Wortham Bulldogs basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Rice Bulldogs to 33 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Bishop Reicher Catholic for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. Wortham will play a Cougars team coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Coolidge (Coolidge, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 4-5.
With the defeat, Rice moves to 5-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 3A Region III District 18 test on Friday, December 19. The Lions come into the test with a record of 3-8.
