The Mountainair Mustangs basketball team scored 41 points and limited the visiting Animas Panthers to 26 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. Mountainair will confront a Eagles team coming off a 43-30 non-league loss to Bosque (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

The Panthers (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Cobre (Bayard, NM). The Indians enter the non-league outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Cobre was defeated by Thoreau (Thoreau, NM), 65-55, in a non-league outing.
