In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Bethany Bronchos basketball team scored a close 51-44 triumph over the Elgin Owls.

The Bronchos (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Woodward (Woodward, OK). The Boomers go into the Western contest with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Woodward got by Casady (Oklahoma City, OK), 49-17, in a non-league match.

The Owls now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Western Heights for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. Elgin will face a Jets squad coming off a 23-19 league loss to Marshall (Oklahoma City, OK). The Jets record now stands at 3-3.
