The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS) and the host Scott Beavers (Scott City, KS), observed Lakin's basketball team edge Scott by a score of 49-45.

The Broncs (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Sublette (Sublette, KS). The Larks enter the Hi-Plains battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Sublette was nudged by South Gray (Montezuma, KS), 58-20, in a non-league battle.

The Beavers now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Goodland for a Great Western battle on Tuesday, December 16. Scott will meet a Cowboys squad coming off a 60-26 non-league loss to Life Prep (Park City, KS). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-1.
