Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Assumption upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Ouachita Christian won 60-23 in their recent non-league bout against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Plaquemine Green Devils (Plaquemine, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 20. Ascension Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
