Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD), 47-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Glenelg upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Long Reach (Columbia, MD) to play the Lightning in a Howard County bout on Friday, December 16. The Lightning come into the bout with a record of 4-0. Long Reach won 79-41 in their recent league bout against Hammond (Columbia, MD)

Next up, the Lions play the Atholton Raiders (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County bout, on Friday, December 16. Howard will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 51-49 league win over River Hill (Clarksville, MD).
