John Adams Spartans (Ozone Park, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Scholars Academy (Queens, NY), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the win, John Adams upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cardozo (Bayside, NY) to play the Judges in a PSAL Queens A I bout on Friday, December 16. The Judges go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the play the Cardozo Judges (Bayside, NY) in a PSAL Queens A I bout, on Friday, January 13. Scholars Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
