The Elkins Tigers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Preston Knights to 47 in the Tigers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robert C. Byrd for a contest on Saturday, January 14.

The Knights (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 0-0 record.
