Josey Eagles (Augusta, GA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Glenn Hills Spartans (Augusta, GA), 32-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Josey upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the Spartans play the Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Glenn Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 58-43 league win over Putnam County (Eatonton, GA).
