Urban Blues (San Francisco, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Santa Rosa, CA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Urban upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Blues travel to International (San Francisco, CA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 5-3. International won 57-52 in their recent non-league bout against Marin Academy (San Rafael, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Washington Eagles (San Francisco, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Cardinal Newman will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 59-55 non-league loss to Casa Grande (Petaluma, CA).
