The Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) basketball knocked off the visiting Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI), 61-49 in Thursday's league test.

The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Huskies go into the Division 2 test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Mt. Hope went down by Johnston (Johnston, RI), 78-43, in a league test.

The Oakers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pilgrim for a Division 2 test on Wednesday, December 20. Coventry will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 67-46 non-league loss to Cathedral Prep (Elmhurst, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 1-2.
